  • LOCAL INFORMATION FOR VISITORS

    - You should book in before playing, either at the Administrators Office or over the bar. Where you will be issued with a green fee tag upon payment of the appropriate green fee.

    - You may be asked for proof of handicap by production of a handicap certificate or for details of your golfing experience, home club etc.

    - Please remember that we are a private members club, not a pay and play club, and whilst we always encourage visitors we have certain obligations to our own membership who are obviously our first priority.

    - As we are a 9 hole club, we have adopted a filter system for access to the first tee. If there are players on the ninth green who intend to carry on playing a second nine holes, then players waiting to start their game must
allow those already playing to continue without interruption. However, this does not mean that you will have to wait if there is a continuous flow of playing groups. Please allow the first ones through then filter in causing as
little disruption to others as possible.

    - Please check the notice board on the clubhouse wall prior to going out and give preference to those players in cup and medal competitions. These will normally be playing off the white tee positions, and should be given priority. It is advisable not to visit our club at busy times, which are normally weekends (mornings) Tuesday and Wednesday (mornings) and Thursday (mornings) during school holiday times. These are peak times and days set aside for our normal Members, Ladies, Senior and Junior competitions. Most afternoons are available for almost uninterrupted play.

    - If playing on your own, please remember that in the normal practices of golf, that you have no standing on the course, and therefore it is even more important not to interfere or delay other groups on the course.

    - In the event of slow play, please call faster groups through to allow their game to flow.

    - Please replace all divots, rake sand traps after use, and repair pitch marks on greens.

    - Please comply with our dress code , a copy of which is on view on a notice at the club entrance.

    - Most of the trouble on the course is on the left, which is out of bounds. This is either designated by a boundary fence or white post markers.

    - Ditches are designated by red posts, inside which you may not ground your club.

    - Ponds and access points are designated by yellow posts.

    - Our 150 yard markers are designated by blue posts, which measure to the centre of the green.

    - If you hit a ball into the rough on the right hand side of the second fairway (second shot), please hit a provisional ball before going to look for your first. We have found that this generally speeds up play, as our
rough is very thick at this point and you may never find your ball.

    - At the fifth tee you must not tee off, if there are ladies on the sixth tee (which is adjacent to the fifth green).

    - At the 7th tee, you may not tee off until the 8th tee is clear. If there are players ahead, they will indicate clearance by ringing a bell.

    - At the ninth, please do not tee off if there is a group playing ahead of you. There is a viewing platform available for checking that the area ahead is clear- please use it.

When you have completed you round, please come and share our clubhouse facilities, you will be most welcome.
